Janet Jackson received the prestigious Icon Award at the Billboard Music Awards held recently at the MGM in Las Vegas. Not only was the moment her first television performance in nine years, but it was also the first time she performed live as a mom. Jackson took the stage, performing her 1986 hit “Nasty” in a sparkling gold sweatshirt dress and skinny gold thigh-high shoes — as her mother Katherine and other family members, including nephew Prince Michael, beamed from the audience.
