Thanksgiving Day has a special place in American life, as we prepare to gather Nov. 25 to express gratitude for all that has made us happy and stronger throughout the year. The Las Vegas Valley is home to a wonderful program called The Rock (Reaching Our Community’s Kids). Open Mondays-Fridays, it offers a variety of services to youths with impulse control issues and other behavioral problems.

DJ Thump – Radio personality finds success despite tragedies

Thump says that his life story is a testimony to the power of endurance, and he gives much of the credit to his mother, who always instilled a sense of balance in her nine children. Today, Thump is a statewide radio personality who is engaged to be married and speaks at local schools to inspire and encourage young people.
