LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHERS: Las Vegas icon takes VIP entrance at the Century Club

This is another special issue of Las Vegas Black Image, and we are honored to celebrate the remarkable life of Anna Bailey as she embraces her 100th birthday. Our cover story offers Anna’s intimate reflections on a century of living, loving, and making history, while sharing her thoughts about the journey still ahead. As the first Black showgirl on the Las Vegas Strip and one of the original dancers at the legendary Moulin Rouge, Anna continues to inspire with her unwavering love of life, family, and people. 

Las Vegas also recently welcomed more than 47,000 members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, who traveled from across the globe for the organization’s 72nd International Boule. Hosted by MGM Resorts International, the women transformed the sparkle of Las Vegas into a vibrant celebration of Pink and Green, leaving a lasting impression on our city through sisterhood, service, and excellence.
