Success!

BY JAMAAL McCOY

Jamaal Mccoy, General Manager of Findlay Chevrolet

Endurance is often defined as “the fact or power of enduring an unpleasant or difficult … situation without giving way.”

Many of us practice the action of endurance when confronted with challenges — it is one’s own determination to work through difficult times, in order to maintain a path toward success.

The talent to endure and sustain can be acquired with consistent discipline, and it can become routine in the face of a challenge. The internal will to survive — and reach a place of calm — in the face of a storm is a practice of endurance.

Surrounding yourself with people who reaffirm your strengths and talents can also serve as a reminder of your ability to overcome bad situations. Having a positive frame of mind is also a wonderful tool to utilize when faced with a challenge — it can relax the mind, allowing you to think clearly and be wise with words and actions.

When faced with a particular challenge, always take a few seconds to think about what you would like your outcome to be. Every action will be met with a reaction, so it is very important to realize that one’s challenge could be, essentially, a test — and how you react may mean the difference between passing and failing.

Business and life require us to be strong and wise. Strong to stand the test of time, and wise when making decisions that can make or break your dreams for success.

Success is here for the taking!
