PEACE: Hold on to Faith

I have often asked myself, “How do I find peace when there is no peace?”

Many of us find the peace we seek by going to church or simply connecting with the higher power through prayer and the study of scripture. But when surrounded by obstacles in day-to-day life, it is sometimes very hard to reclaim our “in motion” peace. The peace that is within us as we move about our lives. That unbreakable peace that reminds us that we can let go because someONE is always there to catch us.

Faith is a practice that has to be operable each and every day. We must start it up just like the ignition in our cars. And some days, you might have to press harder than usual on the accelerator — to get a jump start on the faith we need to find peace for the day.

Too often, we unilaterally surrender our own abilities and potential by ignoring the power of faith. Faith is extraordinarily powerful, but it requires you to get into the driver’s seat and steer a process that keeps your heart in the right place.

Hold on to your faith, and peace will be there waiting for you.
