Theta Theta Omega Enjoys a Successful 8th Annual Emerald Ball

It was an evening of glitz and glamour as the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, Theta Theta Omega Chapter sparkled in formal wear for the Eighth Annual Emerald Ball Scholarship Fundraiser and Awards Ceremony March 26, 2011. The event was a roaring success with nearly 500 attendees.

The fundraiser yields more than $20,000 annually that is awarded to area high school students heading off to college. The formal event has become the social highlight of the season for the Las Vegas community and beyond. The sorority demonstrates a wealth of sisterhood in the year-long planning of such an immense undertaking that also includes an awards ceremony for community leaders. The 2011 recipients were Rosalind Brooks and Dr. Charlene Day.
