Celebrity Chef Dominique Solomon and the Incredible Chef Productions team couldn’t wait to dine at Origin of India (4480 Paradise Road), one of the most talked-about restaurants in Las Vegas.

Indian cuisine is rich with different spices, tastes and cultural influences, so selecting the best dishes at this restaurant is no easy task. One that stood out was the garlic naan, an addictively flavorful flatbread that our table couldn’t get enough of — so we remixed it into an easy recipe that you can try at home.

Garlic NaanEasy Garlic Naan

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Ingredients (Makes 4-5 servings)

3 cups of honey whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon dried yeast or baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon Crazy Cajun Spice
1 teaspoon natural brown sugar
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup natural yogurt
1 egg, lightly whisked
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped

MAKIN’ IT

1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand about 10 minutes, until frothy. Stir in sugar, yogurt, egg, salt, Cajun Crazy Spice and enough flour to make soft dough. Knead for 6 to 8 minutes on a lightly floured surface, or until smooth. Place dough in a bowl well-oiled with olive oil, cover with a damp cloth, and set aside to rise. Let it rise for about one hour, until the dough has doubled in volume.

2. Punch down dough, and knead in garlic. Pinch off small handfuls of dough about the size of a golf ball. Roll into balls, and place on a tray. Cover with a towel, and allow to rise until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.

3. During the second rising, preheat grill to high heat.

4. At grill side, roll one ball of dough out into a thin circle. Lightly oil the grill. Place dough on grill, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until puffy and lightly browned. Brush uncooked side with butter, and turn over. Brush cooked side with butter, and cook until browned, another 2 to 4 minutes. Remove from grill, and continue the process until all the naan has been prepared.
