Brian Culbertson, more perform at San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival

San Diego is a popular getaway for residents of Las Vegas, and Las Vegas Black Image Magazine was in the house for the San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival at Embarcadero Park. Produced by Rainbow Promotions and Payne Pest Management Inc., the three-day festival showcased such renowned jazz performers as Brian Culbertson, Michael Franks, Nick Colionne, Peter White, Boney James, Gerald Albright, Jonathan Butler, Eric Darius, and Curtis Brooks.

Said Las Vegas Black Image Magazine publishers Charles Tureaud and Kimberly Bailey-Tureaud: “The festival was a top-notch event. VIPs were treated to first-class, catered meals throughout the three days — along with beverages and personal interaction with top artists. It was a great time, and we encourage our local Las Vegas residents who enjoy jazz at its best to attend next year’s event.”

Culbertson gave an outstanding performance, mixing the sounds of George Clinton and Prince into his jazzy beats. Culbertson’s Funk Tour is scheduled to perform August 26 at the Foundry event center inside the SLS Hotel in Las Vegas.
