Mystery and an air of elegance surrounds Dîner en Blanc-Las Vegas, which invites people to dine, drink, socialize, and enjoy the company of good friends while meeting new ones in a unique environment.
Begun 30 years ago in Paris — when François Pasquier invited a group of friends to a elegant outdoor dinner at Bois de Boulogne, and asked his guests to wear the same color — Dîner en Blanc has exploded into a global event spanning more than 70 cities on six continents. This is no typical dinner party: Guests must be dressed in white, and attendees are not given a location until the day of the event. Dîner en Blanc-Paris is expected to attract 20,000 people this month; in Las Vegas, about 1,500 people gathered at Wayne Newton’s Casa De Shenandoah estate for a gourmet meal and a party reminiscent of “The Great Gatsby” — full of flair, full of elegance and style.
