Let’s Detox

What is a detox? A detox is the process of stimulating the body to eliminate accumulated toxins and metabolic waste from the body. A detoxification program is the process of extracting, neutralizing, and then eliminating built-up waste, drug residue, heavy metals, mucous, toxic chemicals or any other harmful residues from your body. This toxic waste can be stored in your fat, muscles, organs, and cells in your body. In fact, a detox program can be the ideal way to prevent and treat disease.

Even the most careful person is exposed to numerous toxins throughout daily living. Our bodies produce metabolic waste on a daily basis. In normal circumstances, waste is eliminated from your body regularly through urine from your kidneys, fecal matter from your bowels, sweat from your skin, and the waste from your blood is eliminated by the lymphatic system.

Here are two juices that are healing to the body and will help build up the immune system. Drink one 32-ounce jar every day for 14 days and notice a difference in the way you feel and in your energy level. Eating cleaner during this time will be a great benefit as well.

Immune Fortifier

  • 3 carrots
  • 1/2 apple
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 inch ginger
  • Handful parsley
  • Handful cilantro

(Run each of these items through a juicer. Do not use a blender as the consistency would be too thick and not very appealing.)

Alkalizing Tonic

  • 10 celery ribs
  • 2 cups of green cabbage
  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 2 peeled limes
  • 1 inch fresh ginger
  • 1 apple
