AME Church celebrates the 100th birthday of member Mr. Joseph Henry
First AME Church honored a devoted church member who is a centenarian!
Mr. Joseph Henry is FAME’s oldest member. Born on September 15, 1919 in Jamaica, West Indies, He moved to the United States (New York) in 1955. After a long and successful career, he retired from American Airlines in 2001. The following year, he and his wife of 49 years, Veronica, moved to Las Vegas to be close to their children.
Henry has been a faithful member of FAME Church for twelve years. When asked for advice, regarding living a long and happy life he says, “Believe and trust God and be kind to everyone. Love yourself and your neighbor.”
