What is your biggest concern about your own health and our Las Vegas healthcare system?
Cassandra L. Gaitor
I am concerned with the fact that the one hospital in North Las Vegas doesn’t deliver babies anymore. I have to go to Sunrise or UMC hospital. Valley Hospital is very bougie! You can’t go to Valley Hospital without insurance. Why did they close the Health District on Shadow Lane? Also lack of TLC for UMC Hospital patients. UMC is a county hospital and has tried to be better, but with non-paying ER patients, they stay in the red. This makes the workers not care about others. Some are just working there for the buck. I’m so ready to leave Las Vegas!
Jackee Cahee
I want to stay well and be able to pay for health insurance.
James Allen
It makes me very concerned when I see healthcare providers overmedicate their patients.
Stephen Munford
My concern with the healthcare system is, why does North Las Vegas only have one hospital? A city of a million people, mostly Black and Brown residents. But we see other parts of Nevada having multiple hospitals.
Wilma Easley-Roberts
My biggest concern is that I want affordable and quality healthcare.
