Beyoncé has been a global superstar for a generation, and she continues to climb higher into the stratosphere.

As the years go by, we are still captivated by Beyoncé’s every move. To put it plainly, she has become the standard of excellence in entertainment.

According to Forbes, her estimated fortune is $440 million — and together with her husband Jay Z, their wealth exceeds $1 billion. She has received countless awards for her music, performances, and more. Recently, Tiffany & Co. featured the superstar couple in a worldwide ad campaign entitled “About Love,” featuring a painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat. The campaign was inspired by the classic film, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

Beyoncé is an example of balancing it all. The mother of three children— Blue Ivy, and twins Rumi and Sir, who turned four this year — Beyoncé has stepped into her 40s as an example of a woman who balances it all.

She was born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles on September 4, 1981, in Houston, Texas. Her back story illuminates the firm foundation of her success. She first captivated the public eye as lead vocalist of Destiny’s Child, and later established a solo career with her debut album “Dangerously in Love” — becoming one of music’s top-selling artists with sold-out tours and a slew of awards. Beyoncé has also starred in several films, including “Dreamgirls,” and holds the record for most Grammy wins ever by a female artist with 28 awards.

An entrepreneur extraordinaire, Beyoncé has achieved success with her clothing lines, House of Dereon and Ivy Park, as well as her own perfume and her own Parkwood Entertainment Company. In 2020 she partnered with Adidas on the launch of Bey’s Ivy Park Collection, which sold out within a day of release.

Recently, Beyoncé contributed the theme song, “Be Alive,” for the movie “King Richard,” starring Will Smith in the story of how Richard Williams trained his daughters, Venus and Serena, to become tennis superstars.

According to Will Smith in a recent Entertainment Weekly interview, “The marriage of movie and a song is a kind of magic that’s unmatched in entertainment. I was so happy when Beyoncé called.”

Beyoncé confirms that she has new music on the way. “With all the isolation and injustice over the past year,” she says, “I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love and laugh again. I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible.”
