Spring, Forward
Spring is in the air, and this issue of Las Vegas Black Image is again centered on words by — and visuals of — people who are dedicated to making our city wonderful.
It is all made possible by our supportive advertisers, who continue demonstrating an unshakable belief in the uplift and progress of our dynamic Black community. We are also grateful to all of our contributing writers, who never fail to give everything they’ve got to provide information and education to the people of our Silver State. And of course, we thank our executive publishing team and especially YOU, our loyal readers and supporters.
Also this month:
● In Community Speaks, we ask readers to give our Clark County School District a grade for its performance over the past year — in hopes of spurring more positive action that can make the district more competitive and open for community input.
● We spotlights the new Lifetime movie “Giving Hope,” based on the life of Las Vegas native Ni’cola Mitchell.
● Everyone is thrilled about Beyoncé returning to Las Vegas with her Renaissance World Tour. And Las Vegas Black Image is most excited about giving light to her BeyGOOD Foundation — which is helping minority small businesses and students with scholarships nationwide.
Blessings,
Charles Tureaud & Kimberly Bailey Tureaud
