Las Vegas Black Image has another spectacular September edition for you to enjoy!
This special issue pays tribute to Dr. Aaron Bivens, a phenomenal veterinarian who served many animals in Southern Nevada. We thank many of our loyal readers who submitted photos of themselves, along with their fur babies, to celebrate the life of Dr. Bivens — who will be missed and always remembered.
Also in this issue:
- We are encouraging people to participate in the free 6th Annual Las Vegas Caravan for Mammogram on Oct. 28. This event targets Black women, who die disproportionately from the disease. Please fill out the entry form for the event found in this issue, take a photo of it, and email it back to us at cdalasvegas@gmail.com
- Dr. Annette Mayes puts a spotlight on Sickle Cell Disease and how it affects those trying to have a baby
- A new edition of Community Speaks highlights some of our “old school” musical favorites that bring back the most memories.
We want to thank all of our contributing writers, who inspire new thinking, provide fresh information, and create enjoyment. Also, a special acknowledgement of all our advertisers — who believe in our community and help to maintain our voice.
If you have any progressive stories you would like Las Vegas Black Image Magazine to cover, please send information to cdalasvegas@gmail.com.
