Inside the October issue of Las Vegas Black Image, we spotlight “The Queen of Bad Girl Comedy,” Luenell. We were honored to conduct an exclusive interview with the comedy icon, who is currently performing at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club — the only Black female comic with an ongoing residency on the Las Vegas Strip.

We offer our deepest thanks to readers for participating in Community Speaks, giving life to the definition of REAL LOVE.

Craig Knight, General Manager for Power 88.1 KCEP, gives us a recap on the recent Power Moves Music Conference, which was tremendously received with preparations already begun for 2024.

Excitement is in the air for the Super Bowl that will be in Las Vegas soon, and we congratulate Southwest Gas Corporation on its partnership with the Super Bowl Host Committee.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we hope to see YOU participate in the 6th Annual Caravan for Mammogram — where ladies will once again gather to decorate their cars and parade the decorated vehicles down the Las Vegas Strip to Town Square for a fabulous lunch. The mission: drawing attention to breast health, breaking down stigmas surrounding self-examination, and reminding Black women — who die from breast cancer at much higher rates than white women, in numbers that are dramatically disproportionate — that they are not alone. There is a Caravan for Mammogram sign-up form inside this issue; you can fill out, take a photo of it, and text back to: 702-810-5631. We look forward to another wonderful event on October 28.

Our featured contributing writers continue to bring thought provoking editorials geared toward keeping you informed, motivated, and educated on all things GOOD.

Las Vegas Black Image Magazine would not be possible without our gracious advertisers and elite executive publishing team.

Thank you again to all our loyal readers and supporters. And if you have any interesting, positive news to share, please email us at
