Las Vegas resident and best-selling author Andrionna Williams is the driving force behind a landmark stage adaptation of her book “In-laws From Hell.” The debut performance is set for Feb. 26 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino.
“What a great way to celebrate Black History Month — by making history,” said Williams, a beauty salon business owner and single mother of three boys. “I am the first playwright to ever produce a play in the Orleans Showroom.”
Added Williams: “I am very excited to have the opportunity to showcase my ‘In-Laws From Hell’ stage production. There will be something for everyone and wonderful original music that I have also written. The Las Vegas Mass Choir and the entire cast are seasoned professionals and singers.”
The drama-filled play follows Melissa (Trisha Mann) and Joaquin (Toney Grant), whose relationship is plagued by an intrusive mother in-law. That character is portrayed by Joy LaShawn, who calls the production “hilarious,” promising that “no one will be disappointed.” More information can be found online at www.inlawsfromhell.net.
