The 2017 Soul Train Awards were held recently at the Orleans Arena, as neo-soul godmother Erykah Badu hosted with her eccentric sense of humor and legendary style. The annual event held in Las Vegas honored the best in Black music, and featured powerful performances by Toni Braxton, Tamar Braxton, Keyshia Cole, Kirk Franklin, Ledisi, Tank, and more. SWV was presented with the Lady of Soul Award, while Toni Braxton was honored with the night’s highly coveted Legend Award. Bell Biv Devoe and Ledisi received the Soul Train Certified Award.
