HONORS SOCIETY

Las Vegas Black Image partners with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District to pay tribute to difference-makers in our community.

Las Vegas Black Image Magazine recently hosted the Las Vegas Black Image Honors in partnership with the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. Held at the Flamingo Library and celebrating 25 years of the Taste & Sounds of Soul brand, the affair was a huge success with many community residents and families in attendance for the free event.

Sponsored by MGM Resorts International, Anthem Healthcare, John Mull’s Meats & Road Kill Grill, and Power 88 KCEP, the Las Vegas Black Image Honors celebrated eleven residents who have positively contributed to the community through their works, talents, or organization.

Honorees included:

  • Kimberly Polard, honored for her relentless community work and support to residents, community events and organizations.
  • Mike Waller, honored for his many years of small business development services and dedication in assisting young men and women with their mental health through his MW Sports Psychology Consultant Group.
