Charlee Ann Hadley, a 15-year-old student at Centennial High School, has been crowned Miss Juneteenth NV.
Born in Riverside, California, and raised in Las Vegas, Charlee Ann has distinguished herself through her academic pursuits, artistic talents, and dedication to community service.
Charlee Ann excels in a variety of subjects at school, particularly enjoying math, English, and ceramics. Her artistic flair shines through in her ceramics work, where she creates and paints intricate clay structures. Beyond her academic achievements, Charlee Ann is passionate about animal welfare and has been a committed vegetarian for four years. Her decision to embrace vegetarianism stemmed from a rites of passage class and her deep love for animals. With aspirations of becoming a veterinarian, she is particularly focused on the conservation and well-being of elephants.
In addition to her academic and personal pursuits, Charlee Ann is an active leader in her community. She serves as youth president of NewEra LV — a Black empowerment organization that strives to uplift Black people and communities. NewEra LV’s initiatives include “Buy Black” tours to support Black-owned businesses, “Hood to Hoods” events to engage with communities and provide essential resources, and “Safe Zones” to establish secure spaces within Black-owned businesses for individuals in danger.
Charlee Ann’s commitment to excellence and her dedication to making a positive impact have earned her the title of Miss Juneteenth NV. This prestigious recognition celebrates her achievements and her ongoing efforts to inspire and lead her peers.
