PEACE: Living in the space of affirmation

BY KIMBERLY BAILEY-TUREAUD

We really do meet humanity in our everyday encounters with people. Our ability to show up with — and for — others is an honor that should not be taken for granted.

In the spirit of love, your glance should be embedded in a smile — a smile that affirms and encourages. Life routinely brings challenges, and you never know where motivation might come from.

Society has incorrectly taught many of us to judge and reject others. Empathy is often absent when it is needed most. Seeing others is a gift that shouldn’t be reduced to holidays or moments of convenience. Wake up — and be intentional about the eyes given to you to see.

Those who are the most difficult to embrace need you more. Time given is the time you will have in abundance. The earth revolves and awaits the rotation of your attention and compassion.

Your positive words are God’s mandate, because words of correction will not always assist people in their life’s journey. Many times, it has more to do with the comfort zone you desire when you are in their company.

Live the example that you hope will inspire and motivate others. Everyone’s journey is individual, and lessons learned are specifically designed.

Try expressions of affirmations in all your encounters, and light will always shine toward your destiny. There is something wonderful about everyone you may encounter. Make space for that.

Acknowledge greatness in others, even when your insecurities push you to withhold. There is everything right about viewing other’s magnificence. It pours into the soul of humankind.

There is where your peace resides — shouting “I am worthy!” to the world.
