First, we THANK YOU, our loyal readers and supporters of Las Vegas Black Image Magazine. This month, we pause to give thanks for the blessings in our lives and the people who continue to make a difference in our community.
Mr. Lonnie Wright’s “The Golden Legacy 50” is our featured cover, celebrating 50 Black men who have contributed to the Silver State for more than a half-century. We are honored to feature these outstanding Southern Nevada men who have helped shape the best of Las Vegas.
Our Community Speaks feature once again gives community members the mic to share their expectations of political candidates fortunate enough to earn a seat at the table. The message is clear: accountability to Nevada residents must be the beginning and the end of public service.
We sincerely thank all our contributing writers and advertisers for pouring their passion, time, and support into Las Vegas Black Image Magazine. We appreciate you!
The Living section will spark your holiday spirit with a visit to Farm Buddies and its organic farmers market, offering a wonderful Saturday excursion. You’ll also find a reminder that filling your home with music can help make any house a home.
We encourage you to attend the FREE Las Vegas Black Image Magazine Honors on November 14, 2026, at the downtown Classic Jewel Nightclub. Sponsored by Southwest Gas and MGM International Resort, the event will recognize 16 of Nevada’s impactful people, businesses, and nonprofits for their continued contributions and commitment to giving back to the community. Help us celebrate those who make Las Vegas a great place to live! Please RSVP at (702) 615-8216 or email cdalasvegas@gmail.com.
Our “Under the Glittering Lights” segment features photo highlights from the recent Earth, Wind & Fire (EWF) concert at The Venetian Resort. This iconic group continues to deliver one of the best musical shows on the Las Vegas Strip. They STILL GOT IT!
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Dr. Katrina Harris, who recently passed away. She will be deeply missed for her dedication and unwavering work as a “She-Warrior” for mental health.
Rise,
