Black Girls Code

It was a distinct honor to be invited to the InNEVation Burkes Center in Las Vegas to witness the first coming-together of the Nevada Chapter of “Black Girls Code,” sponsored by Bally Technologies. Organizers Lauren Burke Bennett and Lisa Mosley spearhead this national nonprofit organization, which is part of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) national initiative to expose girls from underrepresented communities to STEM-related industries.

In fatherhood, successful twins perform double duty

Dan and Dana Napier enjoyed their college experiences, but they were also drawn to the bright lights of the city and its signature industry. Upon graduation, they both decided to remain in Las Vegas and work in gaming. During a period of two decades, they worked their way up to high-ranking executive positions at two of the major casino properties — MGM Grand and Caesars Palace — on the Las Vegas Strip.
