For years, Niecy Nash has been a fixture in our homes on such shows as “Reno 911,” The Style Network’s “Clean House,” “The Insider” and most recently, the hit TV Land series “Soul Man,” with Cedric the Entertainer.

Friends have nothing but praise for Imani’s character, describing her as “loyal,” “thoughtful” and “kind to a fault.” She has a warm and happy aura that can’t help but to spread joy, and is the type of person who will always try to be there for anyone  even if it means putting aside her own problems.

It was a distinct honor to be invited to the InNEVation Burkes Center in Las Vegas to witness the first coming-together of the Nevada Chapter of “Black Girls Code,” sponsored by Bally Technologies. Organizers Lauren Burke Bennett and Lisa Mosley spearhead this national nonprofit organization, which is part of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) national initiative to expose girls from underrepresented communities to STEM-related industries.
