We come to events like this one here at West Prep because we always want to have a positive impact on kids. Motivate them to always chase their dreams and to stay in school. We come from an environment similar to this one. If the kids know that they could always use that as a motivation to be successful.

The Las Vegas Valley is home to a wonderful program called The Rock (Reaching Our Community’s Kids). Open Mondays-Fridays, it offers a variety of services to youths with impulse control issues and other behavioral problems.

Stephanie Kirby is executive director of the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization, whose objective is to “Raise awareness and educate local communities on women’s health issues.”
Primarily a fundraising organization, Susan G. Komen for the Cure does not provide direct care. Rather, the organization forms partnerships with providers that offer medical services to uninsured and underinsured patients.
